Leave the driving to the Halton Outdoor Club !
When the weather gets real wintery, Cross Country Skiing is often at it's best. Unfortunately this is not the type of weather you would like for driving around. That is why our bus trips are so popular and fill up on just about every weekend of the ski season. Same goes for weekend or week long hiking getaways in spring and summer and fall. IT IS JUST SO CONVENIENT AND PLEASANT to get onto a luxury bus and leave the driving and the worries about traffic and weather to someone else. It's comforting to know that you can ski until late in the afternoon, and not have to worry about the weather closing in. Likewise it's a good feeling when you can exert yourself to the limit during the day, knowing you will not have to drive back home. The buses all have washrooms, theatre systems and comfortable seating.

With the rising price of fuel, it has become economical and ecological to ride in luxury coach to distant places. For the far-away and longer trips a bus is the smart way to get around. While the bus gets away early in the morning, you can take the time on the bus to read or take it easy while someone else drives.

However a bus trip is more than just an expedient way to get to the ski or hiking trails, the bus is a place to socialize and to meet other people.

 

The Halton Outdoor Club runs ski bus trips on both Saturday and Sunday of every weekend during the winter. There are also long weekend ski bus tours to such places as Ottawa, Quebec City or to the Soo. The Club often hires Coaches on location during Cross Continental trips such as the Rocky Mountains and Newfoundland.
